Wuyi Oolong, commonly known as Wuyi Rock Tea, grows among the peaks and ravines of the Danxia landform in Wuyi Mountain, Fujian Province. Amidst swirling mists and rugged rock formations, the tea bushes drive their roots deep into the weathered rocky soil, absorbing mineral-rich nutrients that give rise to a unique "rock rhyme" (*yanyun*).

Its defining characteristic is the interplay of "rock-bone" character and floral fragrance. "Rock-bone" does not refer to a literal taste of stone, but rather to the substantial, full-bodied, and multi-dimensional quality of the tea liquor; the taste is rich, mellow, and smooth, leaving a lingering, sweet aftertaste. The floral fragrance is understated and refined rather than ostentatious; through masterful processing—specifically the "withering/tossing" (*zuoqing*) stage and traditional slow charcoal roasting—the aroma becomes deeply infused into the liquor, leaving a subtle, enduring fragrance on the lips and palate long after drinking.

Visually, the tea leaves are tightly twisted and robust, displaying a lustrous greenish-brown hue. Upon brewing, the leaves reveal a distinctive "green leaf with red edges," while the liquor ranges from a bright orange-yellow to a deep amber. As a pinnacle of semi-fermented teas, it harmoniously blends the fresh fragrance of green tea with the mellow sweetness of black tea, offering remarkable durability across multiple infusions—retaining its aroma even after seven steeps.
