  • Dongding Oolong tea was originally from Dong Ding mountain area in central Taiwan, but in recent years Dong Ding tea has become more known because of the process by which it is made & not by the location.
  • The Dongding Oolong tea competition for Dong Ding award-winning tea is very popular now in Taiwan, with over 5,000 entries in the recent tea harvest awards, with most of the teas submitted coming from other tea growing regions areas, but processed according to the Dong Ding processing standards, which is basically a heavier roasted Oolong than regular Taiwanese High Mountain teas.
  • Originating from the historic Dong Ding Mountain region in Nantou County, Taiwan, this Dongding Oolong tea is crafted in a style deeply rooted in tradition, renowned for its comforting warmth and complex character derived from meticulous roasting. While not at the extreme altitudes of some high-mountain regions, Dong Ding's elevation and climate provide excellent conditions for cultivating the tea base that truly shines through its signature roasting process.
  • If you like Dongding Oolong roasted oolongs, this is a great choice!  I find myself drinking this all the time, especially in Winter.  Smooth and full of flavor, this tea will age well, so stock up and invest in years to come.
  • The dry leaves of this Dongding Oolong are tightly rolled into compact, dark spheres. The medium-heavy roast has bestowed upon them a rich color palette, predominantly dark brown to almost black, with subtle hints of the original green beneath. Their dense, uniform appearance speaks to the skillful craftsmanship involved in their production.
  • The aroma of the Dongding Oolong dry leaf is rich and inviting, carrying distinct notes of roasted nuts and warm, comforting sweetness. Upon brewing, the fragrance deepens, revealing layers of caramelized sugar, toasted grains, and a subtle, perhaps woody or dried fruit character that is the hallmark of a well-executed medium-heavy roast.
  • The brewed Dongding Oolong tea produces a clear and lustrous liquor. The medium-heavy roast results in a beautiful, deep color, ranging from a warm amber to a rich reddish-brown hue, reflecting the depth and complexity of the roasted flavors within.
  • A rousing and warming tea with biscuity flavour that comforts the body with each sip. Dong Ding Multiple Steep Oolong for Leisure Mornings. Dongding Oolong teas are known for their ability to ease digestion and invigorate the body, which makes them ideal for enjoying in the afternoon when you need a pick-me-up.

Favorful and tasty

Repeat customer. Nice Tea - and I've been to Taiwan many times.
Some other teas are treated and give me headaches. This product seems clean.

Good Tea

One of the best tasting teas we've tried: very similar to local Chinese tea house Dong-Ding Oolong where they take pride in hand picking their tea suppliers directly from the best Chinese growers..

this is the real deal

I enjoy the taste. The strange thing about this, is that every now and again I feel like I get a hint of jasmine, although that isn’t listed anywhere. It’s sweeter than the charcoal oolong.

Just yummy

Super delicious and not a lot of caffeine - low/med. A perfect Cuppa when you’re out of sorts, don’t forget the honey and this tea can take Buckwheat, it stands strong and stays delicious.
