A Ceramic Gaiwan: A Romantic Encounter Between Porcelain and Tea

This Ceramic Gaiwan rests quietly in the innermost recess of an old wooden cabinet. Its body is fine-textured, and the glaze is a near-pure white tinged with a subtle, milky celadon hue. The rim is perfectly round and thin, its edge smooth to the touch; a finger tracing it senses both the cool glaze and a gentle, tactile warmth. The foot ring at the base is slightly raised, bearing a faint yellowish-brown mark—as if the passage of time had lightly inscribed its history there.

It bears no decorative patterns, possessing only a well-defined silhouette and a beauty born of symmetry. Such a simple vessel might have originated from an obscure kiln or a workshop discovered by chance.
