  • Translation: Anxi GanDe Tie Guan Yin Oolong Spring Tea
  • Type: Oolong
  • Cultivar: Tieguanyin
  • Elevation: 1000m – 1100m
  • Origin: Gan De town, Anxi, Fujian
  • Harvest Date: 2026/04/30
  • Storage Methods: Refrigerated, Sealed, Prevent moisture, Vacuum, Alone.
  • Tieguanyin from Anxi, Fujian, belongs to the category of oolong tea. Tieguanyin is both the name of the tea and the name of the tea tree variety. It is between green tea and black tea and is a semi-fermented tea. Tieguanyin has a unique "Guanyin rhyme", with a refreshing and elegant fragrance. After brewing, it has a natural orchid fragrance and is known for its "lingering fragrance after seven brews".
  • Where it comes from – and why it matters

An Xi Gan De Tie Guan Yin comes from Gande Village, elevation ~800m, rocky volcanic soil, surrounded by morning mist and mountain springs. This microclimate gives Tie Guan Yin Tee its legendary “Yin Yun” (观音韵) – a cooling, floral aftertaste that lingers in your throat for minutes after you swallow.

  • Gande Town is located in the northwest of Anxi County, with a subtropical monsoon climate, an average altitude of more than 600 meters, an average annual temperature of 18-21℃, abundant rainfall, fertile soil and rich in minerals. This unique alpine environment (sweet springs, red soil, and many mountain springs) provides unique conditions for the growth of Gande Tieguanyin, making its tea richer in substances, and its aroma and taste better than other production areas.
  • This tea from Gande village was harvested with special care and was hand-processed at all stages. This tea is lightly roasted which allows the original, verdant, floral flavors of Tie Guan Yin (Iron Goddess of Mercy) to unfold beautifully.
  • The production craftsmanship of Gande Tieguanyin is really exquisite! The production of tea requires multiple processes such as sun drying, cooling, making green, frying, rolling, initial baking, initial wrapping and rolling, re-baking, re-wrapping and rolling, shaping and slow fire drying. These innovative practices ensure the quality of the tea, and the tea soup presents a unique "mung bean soup" color, which belongs to the fragrant Tieguanyin. Each process requires the concentration and patience of the tea master to produce such excellent tea. The inheritance of this kind of handcraft is really admirable.
  • This Gande Tie Guan Yin is a charmer. Sweet and intense like a flower garden in spring. The floral notes prevail but are smoothened out with a gentle creaminess. The tea steams vanilla, sweet and dreamy. The cup stays nectary sweet for a long time after drinking the tea. The silky-buttery liquor is coating the mouth, leaving a fruity - peachy aftertaste.
  • Oolong Spring Gande Tieguanyin Tea Appearance: dragonfly head, frog legs, spiral body, round. Its aroma is strong, no matter smelling the lid cup, or entering the soup, or even when brewing and uncovering the lid, its fragrance is so strong that it can almost overflow the room, making people eager to try it. The color of the soup is relatively light, especially for the first and second brews; after the third brew, the color of the soup is yellow-green, and it is clear and mellow. Leaf base: thick, not easy to expand, indicating resistance to foaming. The fragrant leaves are earthy yellow at the bottom.
  • Drinking tea is a way of life and a way to relax your soul. Gande Tieguanyin uses its unique aroma and taste to make every tea drinking a pleasant experience. 🌿🍃
  • Brewing Recommendations:
For the best results, brew this Tie Guan Yin with water at 100°C (212°F). Use one 7.8-gram packet per 110 ml of water. Steep for 10–20 seconds for the first infusion, and gradually increase the time for subsequent brews. This tea can be steeped multiple times, with each infusion revealing deeper layers of its roasted character.

Brilliant

The bright green shaded leaves give a shiny, vibrant colored, wonderful tea. Brewing it alongside with a slightly lower grade of TGY the difference is clear visually and aromatically, the distinctive high-quality taste is there after many steeping. Soothes the body, reflects contentment for the soul. Truly great tea. Thank You, MoriMa Tea

Thanks so much, Zsolt!

Frequently Asked Questions

I bought a ‘premium’ Tieguanyin on eBay. The leaves were mostly dust and broken pieces. How do I know yours are whole?
You don’t have to trust us – look at the photos from real customer reviews (check our listing). Our Tea Gande Tieguanyin leaves are tight, intact pellets, green with a slight sheen. After steeping, they open into whole, large leaves with the classic “green heart, red edge”. If you ever get dust, we refund 200% – but that has never happened.
I’ve tried ‘Milky Oolong’ and loved it. Is this similar?
No – and that’s a good thing. Most “Milky Oolong” (Jin Xuan) sold in the West is artificially flavored with milk essence. It’s not real tea aroma. Our Gande Tieguanyin with Delicate Fragrance gets its creamy vanilla note purely from processing – the same way good coffee has natural chocolate notes. No additives. No artificial anything. The creaminess is subtle, elegant, and evolves over steeps.
I live in a humid place (Florida / UK / Southeast Asia). Last tea went bad in 2 weeks. How do I store this?
You’re right – Qingxiang Tieguanyin is the most humidity‑sensitive oolong. Here’s what works: Short‑term (drinking within a month): Keep in the sealed bag, squeeze air out, store in a dark cupboard (not near the stove or spice rack). Long‑term (best method): Vacuum‑seal or use an airtight container → freeze immediately. Yes, freeze. Let it come to room temp before opening to avoid condensation. This keeps the fragrance for 12+ months. Do not leave it in a clip‑seal bag on the counter for weeks – humidity kills the orchid aroma.
What does ‘Yin Yun’ (Guanyin rhythm) actually feel like? I’ve never experienced it.
You’re not alone. 90% of Tieguanyin sold globally cannot produce Yin Yun – it requires specific terroir + Te‑grade leaves + precise oxidation. When you drink our An Xi Gan De Tie Guan Yin, pay attention after you swallow: A cooling, floral, slightly sweet sensation will rise from your throat back into your mouth. It lasts 30–60 seconds. That’s Yin Yun. Once you feel it, you’ll never accept cheap Tieguanyin again.
Can I use this for bubble tea / milk tea?
You could – but please don’t. This would be like using a single‑malt Scotch for a whiskey and coke. If you want Tieguanyin for milk tea, buy a cheaper autumn harvest or roasted style. Our 2026 spring Gande is meant to be appreciated pure – you’ll lose the floral notes under milk and sugar.
